A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after reports of items being stolen from a vehicle in a residential street. 

Police received reports of a theft from a motor vehicle on Granada Road, Hedge End just before 10pm yesterday. 

A boy, 17, from Southampton has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

He was arrested at Oak Tree Gardens at 10.15pm yesterday on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.

He remains in custody at this time.

Now the force is appealing for anyone with information to come forward. 

A spokesperson said: "If you were in the area of Granada Road, or any surrounding roads, between 8pm and 10pm yesterday, and witnessed anything suspicious, please get in touch with us.

"If you have any other information which could assist in our investigation, such as CCTV, doorbell camera, dash cam or mobile phone footage, especially of two boys aged approximately 17 years, please call 101 and quote incident number 44240111200.

"We’re also keen to hear from anyone else who believes their vehicle may have been entered and/or had items stolen from within.
