A serious incident in a village near Southampton described by police as 'rare' has led to a man being charged.
Norman Albert Lillywhite, 59, of Winchester Road in Waltham Chase, has been charged with sexual assault.
This follows what police said was a 'serious' incident in the village on Thursday, March 7.

PC Dave Brown of the Bishop's Waltham Neighbourhood Team said: "While incidents of this nature and seriousness are rare in this area, we always treat any reports of sexual assault seriously.
"Our work tackling violence and sexual offending against women and girls remains one of our highest priorities."
He will appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on 22 March.
