Firefighters were called to a flat fire in Chandler’s Ford.
Crews from Eastleigh and Redbridge were called just before 12.30pm to the blaze on Hiltingbury Road on Sunday.
When they arrived they found the fire had been caused by cooking, which had been left unattended.
The property was empty when they arrived.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire before carrying out home fire safety visits and delivering community safety materials to neighbouring properties.
The stop message was received at 12.55pm.
