New drone pictures have shown the aftermath of a devastating fire which ripped through a Southampton warehouse next to St Mary's Stadium.

The photos show the building in ruins weeks on from the blaze at the building owned by Polystar Plastics in Melbourne Street.

A large column of smoke dominated the city skyline after it began on the afternoon of March 6, prompting Southampton FC to cancel the home clash with Preston North End later that day.

Firefighters who battled the flames said it was one of the biggest fires they had seen but after an investigation, found that it was "not suspicious"

The project has since been handed over to demolition crews and though cordoned off, the charred remains of the warehouse still sit in a heap just behind St Mary's fan zone area.

Piles of pallets still sit outside the building which has remained mostly untouched since the blaze.
