The incidents took place between November 20, 2023 and February 15 this year.
Cruickshank, 38, of Woodstock Road, Gosport pleaded guilty to seven charges of theft from a shop at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
He was jailed for 49 days at the same court.
Magistrates found that the offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified and that Cruickshank has a "flagrant disregard for court orders".
