Two men and two teenagers have been charged with a string of vehicle theft offences in Southampton and the New Forest.

Jordan John Diaper, 21, of Franklyn Avenue in Southampton, has now been charged with burglary, possession of a controlled drug of Class B, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, and two counts of receiving stolen goods.

Bradley Paddick, 20, of Montague Avenue in Southampton, has been charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods, three counts of aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and burglary.

A 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy from Southampton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with burglary, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving and two counts of receiving stolen goods.

In addition, the 15-year-old was also charged with possession of a controlled drug of Class B.

This is in relation to an incident at 12.30am on Saturday, March 30, when items were thrown at a police car from a vehicle which drove away.

In addition to this incident, the charges also relate to the following reports in Hampshire, as well as the theft of a vehicle in Dorset:

Number plates were stolen from a car on Glenwood Avenue in Southampton overnight between Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27.

On Monday, March 25, a set of number plates were taken from a car on Station Road in Lymington.

In the early hours of Friday, March 29, four people attempted to steal a van on Valentine Avenue in Southampton. Damage was caused to the van and threats were made to the occupant, a man in his 20s, but nobody was injured.

All four have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 5.
