Diversion routes are due to be put in place as urgent repair work gets underway on a city centre road.
Southampton City Council's highways team has warned motorists of lane restrictions on Terminus Terrace later today.
The work will start at 8pm and is expected to take a few hours.
Lane restrictions will be in place with diversion routes for access to Central Bridge.
Drivers are being told to plan their journeys in advance.
