Two lanes were closed on the M27 after a crash earlier this morning.

Police were called at 1.36am to the collision involving two cars on the M27 westbound between junction 12 near Portsmouth and junction 11.

Two lanes were closed as the police dealt with the incident.

Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.36am to a collision on the M27 westbound. Two cars were involved and minor injuries were reported.”

One lane remained closed this morning on both carriageways as emergency barrier repairs took place.

This caused 30-minute delays on the A27 westbound approach.

In an update on X (formerly Twitter), National Highways said: “Lanes 3 (of 3) is now closed on both carriageways for emergency barrier repairs following an earlier collision, on the M27 westbound between J12 near Portsmouth and J11 Fareham.”
