Southampton's most wanted criminals told: Hand yourselves in

Officers revealed the most wanted list in Southampton on Monday, with Hampshire police chief constable telling the Echo his message for those on the run.

Addressing the suspects, he said: "You have got a choice – you can hand yourself in or we can come after you – either way, you will be arrested, and you will be brought before the court.”

Mr Chilton said the offenders' crimes include burglary, assault, and possession with intent to supply drugs.

Crimestoppers regional manager, Beth Simpson, said that the public’s help will be invaluable in catching these offenders.

She added: “We started this campaign in 2005, and since then it has helped to catch more than 5,000 criminals like those within this list.

“What really works is the fact that people can speak up and tell Crimestoppers what they know completely anonymously.

“There is no witness statement, and they will not have any involvement in the courts – no one will ever know this information came from them.”

The Crimestoppers campaign includes touring Hampshire with the faces of Hampshire's 29 most wanted criminals displayed on a mobile screen, in order to drum up some tip-offs. This includes the top 10 wanted in the Southampton area.

Tomasz Gasiorowski - He was charged in relation to a burglary, alleged to have occurred on May 25, 2022, in Henry Road, Southampton.

Stephen McCarthy - He was due to attend Southampton Magistrates' Court on January 5, this year, in relation to an allegation of failing to comply with the requirements of post-custodial supervision.

Karl Avellino - He was charged with assault with intent to resist arrest, in relation to an incident alleged to have occurred on January 31 this year.

Stuart Rendall - He was due to attend Southampton Crown Court on March 16, 2020, in relation to an alleged breach of a community order.

Max Amey - He was charged with possession of a controlled drug of class A - cocaine, after being arrested November 30, 2022.

David Koziej - He faces two chargesof possessing a controlled drug of class B - amphetamines and cannabis, and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Anisa Caynab - She was charged with possession of a controlled drug of class B - cannabis, after being stopped in Northam Road, Southampton, on May 17 last year.

Spyridon Papathanasiou - He was due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates' Court on February 16, having been charged with the alleged possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A - cocaine.

Karol Dabrowski - He was charged with harassment without violence after allegedly attending the address of a former partner on a number of occasions between June 28 and July 5, last year, in Southampton.
