The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

HANNAH MITCHELL, 33, of Bowers Drive, Bursledon pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a lane closure traffic light signal on the M27 eastbound between junction seven and eight near Hedge End. He was driving a Mercedes when he was spotted by an automatic camera. Mitchell was fined £40 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £50 court costs and a £16 surcharge. 

DAVID BARROW, 55, of Ellisfield Road, Havant admitted to exceeding a variable speed limit on the M27 eastbound between junctions ten and nine. He was clocked at 47mph by an automatic camera near Fareham whilst driving a Ford. Barrow was fined £72 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £55 court costs and a £28 surcharge.

CHRISTOPHER CONSTANTINE, 61, of Maidstone Road, Gillingham pleaded guilty to stalking without fear, alarm or distress in Lymington in that he left unwanted cards and gifts at his victim's home. He also sent her numerous unwanted emails, made unwanted calls, approached her and contacted her family. He received a community order with up to 30 rehabilitation days and must pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge. He was given a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim for five years. 

CARITA BLYTH, 51, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to three counts of theft from a shop after £286.58 worth of clothing and food was stolen from Co-Op, Tesco and HMV in Southampton. She was given a two-year conditional discharge. 

CHARLIE NAISMITH, 26, of Purvis Gardens, Southampton admitted to two counts of burglary after two incidents in Constable Close, Southampton. An e-scooter and £1,000 worth of children's designer clothing were taken. He was given a four-month sentence suspended for 18 months. Naismith must complete up to 25 rehabilitation days and 150 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £128 surcharge.
