Two of Southampton’s ‘most wanted’ have been apprehended by police after a public campaign.

Jamie Sweeney and George Griffiths were recently located and arrested.

The men were two of 10 people from Southampton and the surrounding area charged with at least one offence and failing to appear in court.

Earlier this month, Hampshire Constabulary launched a partnership with charity Crimestoppers to show a gallery of 'most wanted' faces.

The following people remain at large:

  • Stuart Rendall: He was due to attend Southampton Crown Court on March 16, 2020, in relation to an alleged breach of a community order.
  • Max Amey: He was charged with possession of a controlled drug of class A - cocaine, after being arrested on November 30, 2022.
  • David Koziej: He was charged with two counts of possessing a controlled drug of class B - amphetamines and cannabis, and using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place
  • Spyridon Papathanasiou: He was due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates' Court on February 16, having been charged with the alleged possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A - cocaine.
  • Karol Dabrowski: He was charged with harassment without violence after allegedly attending the address of a former partner on a number of occasions between June 28 and July 5, last year, in Southampton.
