A Shakespeare classic will be kicking off Titchfield Festival Theatre's Bard at the Barn summer season.

Audiences can expect an entertaining display of comedic confusion from Twelfth Night as the parts are distributed live on stage, from May 28 to June 6.

Performances will take place at the Great Barn in Titchfield.

Chris Blatch-Gainey, director of Twelfth Night, said: "Twelfth Night really is a good giggle with a wealth of comic characters.

"So, directing this allows for a broad spectrum of acting on the stage, which is what I absolutely love.

"The rough era is the early 1800’s with a modern touch.

"We see a travelling company arriving on stage, characters are chosen, and farcical situations ensue.

"TFT’s production of Twelfth Night will be great fun! I’m hoping it will take away the stuffiness that some people hold over the works of Shakespeare."
