The suspicious incident happened on Saturday, May 4, between 6.45pm and 7pm.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: “We have been in the area conducting enquiries and have been speaking with local residents who might have seen what happened.

"However, we want to ensure that we reach anyone who may have information, or doorbell camera footage, that could help with our enquiries.

“We would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and saw a man of the following description acting suspiciously:
•    White
•    Aged in his 60s
•    Skinny build
•    Small amount of dark hair
•    Wearing a black t-shirt
•    Driving a dark coloured (possibly dark blue) vehicle, possibly in the style of a people carrier.

“We are also keen to talk to anyone with dashcam footage that was driving around the location at the time.”

PS Jez Boughay, from the neighbourhood policing team, said “The local community may understandably be concerned to hear of this report, and we would like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to investigate the circumstances.

"Our officers will remain in the area conducting enquiries and patrolling. Please do come and speak to them if you have any information or concerns.”
