Walnut Tree Farm on Adanac Drive has had to close after the pests were found nearby due to construction work near the premises in Nursling.

A spokesperson for Walnut Tree Farm said: “Due to an ongoing issue in the grounds in close proximity to our premises we are having to monitor the situation very carefully and this means that we are unable to confirm when the pub will reopen permanently."

They added: "Our priority is the safety of customers and our teams, and we continue to take this matter extremely seriously and are following the correct procedures in order to protect our business.

"We continue to work with pest control experts to ensure we provide safeguarding for our business, and we are also reaching out to the nearby landowner to discuss the matter further.”
