A man from Totton has been arrested and charged with five shoplifting offences.
Police said Joseph Daniel Arnold, 33, of no fixed address, was detained in Totton shortly before 9pm on Wednesday, May 1.
Police said he has since been remanded in custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 23
Arnold is charged with thefts from Morrisons, Spruce Drive, Totton and Asda, Maynard Road, Totton between Wednesday, March 6 and Tuesday, April 30.
