The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

HOSSEIN PASHAPOUR, 45, of Kent Street, Southampton was found guilty of possessing a knife in a public place in Lower William Street. He received a one-year community order with 100 hours of unpaid work. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the blade. Pashapour must pay £100 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

DEON ROGERS, 22, of HMP Rochester pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker in Southampton. He also admitted to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, cannabis. He was fined £225 and was ordered to pay a £60 surcharge. Rogers was detained in default. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.

JASON TANNER, 44, of Heysham Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to common assault and sending a letter, communication or article conveying an indecent or offensive message. He received a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and 20 rehabilitation days. He was also fined £300 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge.

FLORIAN BALTATEAMU, 49, of Ewart Grove, London admitted drink driving a Mercedes C-Class on Lodge Road, Southampton. He was banned from driving for 15 months and fined £120. Baltateamu must also pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

MORGAN OBEE, 21, of Oakwood Drive, Southampton was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver of a Volkswagen Passat. Obee was banned from driving for six months and fined £865. The 21-year-old must also pay an £865 fine, £310 court costs and a £346 surcharge. 

GARY DOE, 59, of Long Lane, Holbury pleaded guilty to drink driving a Renault Megan on Long Lane. He received a one-year community order with 20 rehabilitation days and a 25-month driving ban. Doe was fined £80 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £114 surcharge.
