Having read the comments on the local community groups, it has to be said that Southampton City Council have yet again failed in maintaining the lifts in the tower blocks across the city.
You have disabled, elderly and young children in pushchairs and prams stuck in their homes.
Not to mention delivery people, with some being stuck in the lifts and no one answering the emergency button.
Some lifts have been out of action for three weeks.
The rents have risen, which includes services, concierge, cleaning and lifts, among other things.
None of these mentioned are being maintained to an acceptable level.
Not only that but the council has a duty of care to its residents.
Sadly over this past year it seems a “don’t care attitude” has that vital tick in its box.
