The history of Trojans ladies' hockey is intertwined with Trjojans Club itself and was known as Southampton Hockey Club when it began in the early 1900s.
The Trojans Club was primarily for cricket and rugby until after the First World War when it merged with Southampton Hockey Club.
They later separated and reunited once more in the early 1950s when it became Southampton (Trojans) Hockey Club.
The club’s name was shortened later that decade to Trojans Hockey Club.
Currently, Trojans Hockey Club boasts five women’s teams. Their women’s first team competes in the prestigious England Hockey League Investec Conference West, which is the second tier of English hockey.
