The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

OMAR LAMIN, 31, of Wyndham Road, Chatham pleaded guilty to exceeding a 40mph speed limit. He was caught on the A27, Spur Road at Fareham driving at 52mph. He was behind the wheel of a Mercedes at the time and was spotted by manned speeding equipment. Lamin was fined £250 and received three points on his licence. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £100 surcharge. 

SHAUN WHEELER, 38, of Rodney Court, Sholing admitted to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely amphetamine in Southampton. He was fined £80 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £32 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. 

LILLY DUELL, 19, of Ordnance Way, Marchwood pleaded guilty to drug driving on Oleander Drive, Totton. She was banned for 12 months and fined £234. Duell was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £94 surcharge.

KIEFER BUNDAY, 31, of High Street, Southampton admitted to drink driving a silver Vauxhall Astra on Wilton Avenue, Southampton. He was caught with 82 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Bunday was banned from driving for 36 months and fined £430. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £172 surcharge. 

THOMAS BERRY, 36, of New Forest Drive, Brockenhurst pleaded guilty to theft after he stole an Apple Macbook Pro, an external hard drive and a toiletry bag and its contents on a train between Leicester and Kettering. The total value of the goods was £1,710. He was fined £120 and must pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

KENNY MCPHERSON, 42, of Southampton Street, Southampton admitted to theft after he stole a pedal cycle worth £150. McPherson was ordered to pay £150 compensation.
