Fareham Borough Council has announced the return of 999 Day on June 22.

The event, which is sponsored by SA Energy Ltd and held in West Street's pedestrianised zone from 10am to 4pm, is anticipated to draw local families.

Those attending will have the chance to interact with the local emergency services, including the Police, Fire Service, South Coast Ambulance Service, RNLI, Hampshire Search and Rescue, and Coastguard.

Added attractions present opportunities for all ages. Fareham Library plans to host free 999 Day themed crafts. Live music at the podium is also expected for the day.

Commenting on the event, Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley, highlighted the event's popularity and encouraged people to meet the 'emergency services heroes'.
