The council has warned drivers of increased traffic in the city tonight.

Southampton City Council has warned motorists of possible congestion due to Southampton FC's match with West Bromwich Albion.

Saints play West Brom in the play-off semi-final second leg, knowing a win will see them play at Wembley for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Kick-off is at 8pm.

A spokesperson for the council said: "The roads will become busier before and after the match with supporters making their way to and from St Mary's Stadium."

The city council also said that drivers should be aware of the Ring Road works that will also contribute towards congestion.
