Plus, kids can also learn useful skills out in the woods, such as bushcraft and orienteering, alongside fun exercises such as archery and axe throwing.

Alpine Snowsports Southampton

Described as a "great venue for new and experienced snowsports fans" the Alpine Snowsports Centre could work as a great spot for a family day out.

SeaCity Museum

Describing itself as "Southampton’s leading interactive attraction" there's plenty to discover at the SeaCity Museum, with tickets available at their website here.

Several permanent exhibits explore the story of the Titanic, Southampton's history and port.

These exhibits are "bursting with an exciting collection of models, costumes, artworks, photographs, incredible stories and much more".

If you have children interested in history this could make for a fun couple of hours to learn about local stories.
