Three men have been released on bail after tussles broke out following Saints victory.
Hundreds of fans invaded the pitch at St Mary's Stadium in celebration after Russell Martin's men defeated West Brom 3-1 on Friday night securing their playoff final place at Wembley.
Supporters became embroiled in scuffles with West Brom fans and stormed the pitch.

Three men, 27, 26 and 23, all from Southampton, were arrested.
The two older men were arrested on suspicion of going into the playing area at a football match.
The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress, and common assault of an emergency worker.
All have now been bailed, Hampshire police have now confirmed.
Saints are set to play Leeds at Wembley on Sunday. A win will see them propelled back into the Premier League after a season in the Championship.
