The arrival of four cruise ships is expected to cause traffic delays in the city centre today.
Motorists have been urged to plan ahead as thousands of passengers visit Southampton.
The waterfront area will likely be busy today and at the weekend, with five ships due to arrive on Saturday alone.

The Southampton City Council highways team said: “High volumes of cruise passengers are expected in the city today with cruise ships arriving/departing.
“Please plan any journeys to the waterfront in advance as it will be busy.”
Queen Anne, Silver Dawn, Britannia, and Sky Princess all sailed into the city port this morning.
But it is only a flying visit as they are set to depart this afternoon.
