A man was taken to hospital after being bottled by a lifeboat station.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident on Green Lane in Hamble last night, which saw the man in his 20s need medical help.

The alleged attack is reported to have happened between the lifeboat station and jetty between 11.30pm and midnight.

Police said the victim was approached by two unknown men who then hit him with the glass bottle.

According to the force he was not seriously injured despite having to visit the hospital.

The two men police would like to speak to in connection with this incident are described as white and aged between 20 and 30 years old.

One of the men was wearing a blue hooded top, with the hood up, and grey jeans.
