A driver has been banned from the roads after he stopped on a pelican crossing on Bedford Place.
Christian-Mihai Pislaru was disqualified from driving for six months after an incident on Bedford Place, Southampton on April 1, 2023.
The court heard how he had been driving a Vauxhall when he stopped on a pelican crossing.
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to a single count of stopping a vehicle within pelican pedestrian crossing limits contrary to regulation 18 of the Zebra, Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings Regulations 1997.

At a sentencing hearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court last month he also received three points on his licence and a £146 fine.
Pislaru of Handel Road, Southampton was also ordered to pay £110 court costs and a £58 surcharge.
This must be paid in full by June 20.
