A man in his 20s was hospitalised after a glass bottle was hurled at his head outside a popular Southampton nightclub.
The man was left injured after the attack outside Café Parfait on Above Bar Street in the early hours of the morning.
Police have launched an investigation and have now released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.
Hampshire Constabulary said the reveller was assualted by an unknown man outside the nightclub at around 4.20am on Sunday, July 14.
The assailant is said to have picked up a glass bottle and throwed it towards the victims' head.
The victim suffered a large laceration that required hospital treatment.
Officers have conducted a number of enquiries but are now turning to the public for assistance.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We have today, August 13, released the image of someone we believe may be able to assist us in our investigation.
"Do you know who this man is? Did you witness the incident and saw what happened?
"Perhaps you recognise yourself in the image – if so, we would please implore you to contact us and come forward.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference 44240297972."
