A man was found unresponsive in his armchair at home after calling 999, an inquest has been told.
Peter Halligan, 55, of Shakespeare Avenue, died on March 31.
Opening the inquest at Winchester Coroners Court on Tuesday, August 13, area coroner Jason Pegg said that Mr Halligan was discovered unresponsive in an armchair in his home by emergency services after Mr Halligan made a call to 999.

He was discovered not breathing, with beer cans and medicine packets around the armchair; further beer cans were also discovered in the kitchen.
Mr Halligan was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he died.
The preliminary cause of death has been given as drug toxicity.
The full inquest will take place in Winchester on August 11 next year.
