Plans to convert an existing property into four one-bedroom flats and one studio have been lodged.
The current building in Alma Road, Southampton, consists of five small studios. The plans include building an extension on the property.
The redesign involves a ground floor conservation and an extension to the existing roof.
There would be two one-bedroom flats on the ground floor and two on the first floor.
One of the first-floor flats would be a duplex and would benefit from more headroom as a result of the extension.
A statement on the planning application said: “The proposed redevelopment at 105 Alma Road offers a thoughtfully designed plan that will significantly enhance the property’s living conditions while maintaining existing features.
"By converting five small studio flats into four well-appointed one-bedroom flats and retaining the existing studio with notable improvements, the project promises to provide modern and functional living environments.
“The design includes practical upgrades such as increased headroom, natural light, and efficient storage solutions while respecting the current parking and bin arrangements”
