The Southampton PT who was last year crowned the Natural World's Strongest Man is to defend his title this weekend.
Tom Butts, who trains at the Barbell Division gym in Bitterne, will travel to Galway to compete in the under-90kg category, taking on events like Sandbag 'Hell' Medley, deadlift, bag toss, and Fingal's Fingers.
Tom, 25, from Whiteley, scooped the original title, referred to as natural because it is drug tested unlike many world's strongest man events, in Edinburgh last year.

He told the Daily Echo: "I got a bit emotional because the title is really cool.
"I’ve worked hard for it over the last few years, training four hours a day, five or six times a week.
"It's been my goal for a long time to be the best in the world at something."
Tom, who follows a vegan diet, studied Economics at Loughborough University and began training at the same gym as swimmer Adam Peaty.
He won Hampshire's Strongest Man in 2022.
