A man was slashed across the face in an attack outside a block of flats.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary were called to Woolston shortly before 7pm last night.
It followed reports of a man with an injury to his face in Victoria Road following a fight.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found by officers upon their arrival.
A spokesperson from the force said: “It was reported that he had been involved in an altercation with a man known to him on Glen Road, resulting in him receiving a small slash wound to his face.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing.”
