A missing man in Southampton sparked a large scale police search.

Stephen Fagg, aged 32, was last known to be in the Sholing area of Southampton at around 6.20pm this evening (Saturday, August 31).

Police described him as white, around 6ft, bald and with a ginger beard.

He has a tattoo of a skull on his left ear, a dermal piercing on his face next to his eye, and a nose piercing.

He was last seen wearing black and grey shorts and top, and white trainers.

A police statement said: "If you think you've seen Stephen this evening or think you know where he could be, please contact us immediately on 101 quoting 44240373989.

"In an emergency dial 999."

But at around 11.30pm, police said: "We're pleased to say Stephen has now been found safe."
