A caravan fire caused severe rush hour delays on the M27.
Motorists faced queues of around 90 minutes on Monday night.
The blaze, on the M27 eastbound near Eastleigh, created tailbacks along the motorway and onto the M3 southbound.
Fire crews from Eastleigh, Redbridge and St Mary’s were called to the scene shortly after 5pm last night, September 2.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service said: “Crews attended a vehicle fire involving a caravan on the M27 Eastbound (between junction four and five).
“Two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used by crews to extinguish the blaze.
“Crews left the scene at 6.20pm.”

All lanes of the M27 eastbound on approach to Eastleigh were closed as the blaze was brought under control.
One lane later reopened, but two remained closed until shortly after 6.30pm.
Posting on social media, National Highways said: “The vehicle damaged in the earlier fire on the M27 eastbound between J3 and J5 near Southampton has been recovered from the scene.
“All lanes have been reopened with delays of up to 90 minutes on the approach from the M3 and the M27.”
