A man was arrested on suspicion of racist behaviour during Southampton FC’s first home match of the Premier League season.
The 23-year-old man was apprehended by officers at St Mary’s Stadium on August 24.
Saints were playing against Nottingham Forest.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “A 23-year-old man from York was arrested on suspicion of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment, causing harm and distress with words/writing.
"And, use threatening and abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
“He has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further enquiries.”
