Police patrols have been increased after a rise in thefts from vehicles with residents warned to secure their cars.
Officers in Eastleigh have been out on patrol after a spate of "opportunistic" thefts from vehicles, especially in the West End area.
Residents have been advised to ensure all windows are firmly shut and doors are locked when leaving their car.
They are being told to remove any valuables and keep keys safe and out of view at home as Hampshire Constabulary says "It's not uncommon for car keys to be stolen from inside your home".
