Police have issued an update after a man was arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage girl.
On Sunday, June 9, the man was arrested over the allegation involving a 16-year-old girl at a tower block in International Way, Southampton.
As reported, officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the area, where a 25-year-old man from Southampton was found and arrested on suspicion of rape.

The force has now issued an update on the man and said his bail date has now been extended.
A police spokesperson said: “Our investigation remains ongoing and as such the man’s bail has been extended until Monday, December 9, to allow for further enquiries to be conducted.”
The incident came just days after a rape in East Park, but police confirmed that the incidents are not believed to be linked.
