A charity is offering free heart health checks to workers.
Heartbeat is teaming up with local employers to provide the checks, aiming to help people reduce their risk of heart disease.
The initiative, which will start on October 12, is led by Heartbeat's cardiac nurses from the University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust. They will visit businesses to carry out a series of health checks on employees.
These include cholesterol/HDL, blood pressure, glucose, BMI, and atrial fibrillation tests. The nurses will also offer health advice, and those with concerns are advised to visit their GP.
Healthy Heart checks take 10-15 minutes per person and can be crucial in helping detect possible heart problems, as well as supporting businesses in promoting healthy lifestyles.
A follow-up visit can be booked between eight months and one year later. The checks will also be available at Heartbeat's clinic sessions, advertised on their website.
