A care association has appointed a new chair and executive committee member.

The Hampshire Care Association (HCA), which supports care providers across Hampshire, Southampton, and Portsmouth, announced the appointments this week.

Michael Crutchley, chief executive of Brendoncare, will take on the role of chair, while Dr Selina Chandran, clinical director of Kindred Care, joins as an executive committee member.

Both will begin their roles in July.

"We’re delighted she will remain on the executive team, continuing to guide our work in a new capacity as treasurer."

Michael brings a background in mental health nursing and broad experience across the NHS, charity, and independent care sectors.

The appointments will be formally announced at HCA’s next conference.

HCA represents a range of care providers, including residential, nursing, and home care services.
