A mother has said her seven-year-old has ben traumatised after a rock was hurled off a bridge in Gosport and landed on the windscreen of the family's car.
Danielle Flanagan, 37, was in the passenger seat with her partner and two daughters, after an enjoyable trip to the HMS Collingwood Open Day, when they spotted three young children on the footbridge on Howe Road, Gosport.
Suddenly, an almighty crash was heard and the windscreen was smashed - causing the family a great deal of shock and distress.
Immediately after getting out of the car, it became clear three children had deliberately hurled the rock off the bridge on Howe Road, straight onto the car passing below.
"My seven-year-old has been so shaken up by this incident. When we are driving along she asks me to stay away from any bridges.
"This could have so easily turned into a major incident and I'm worried that someone else is going to fall victim to these children — who are all extremely young."

The three children were believed to be between the ages of seven and nine.
It has also left her needing to pay for the damage to her car.
Danielle continued: "I'm not as worried about the cost and more thankful that my girls and my partner were okay.
"I have even written to Gosport MP, Caroline Dinenage, requesting that the bridge is removed in place of a crossing."
The mother said she wanted to warn other drivers in the hopes of preventing a worse incident.
