A Lebanese restaurant has closed on the High Street in Southampton.
A possession notice displayed in the window of Beity Restaurant states the landlord had “exercised their right to re-enter and take possession of the premises.”
The notice is dated, Monday, July 28, informing passers-by that the building is now occupied by the landlords.

The statement said: “To all and any others this may concern, take notice that the landlord has this day, July 28, 2025, exercised their right to peaceably re-enter and take possession of this premises.
“Any lease or license is hereby determined.
“This property is now legally occupied by the landlords.
“Any enquiries regarding the above should be addressed to Romsey Property Management Limited.
“Any attempt to break into this property will be classed as a criminal offence and will be reported to the police.”
Following the possession notice, Beity Restaurant’s website is down, and states a renewal payment is “outstanding.”
The website reads: “Renewal payment is outstanding. Web hosting renewal overdue. Site will be available soon, thank you for your patience.”
