Police officers from local neighbourhood policing teams have been conducting additional patrols in the area, and a spokesperson said anyone with concerns should speak to them.
On Sunday, police officers with tasers responded to the incident and tackled the suspect to the floor before arresting him.
As the incident unfolded, Sohail Chowdhary, who runs Limitless Martial Arts on Empress Road, and star of the BBC television show The Apprentice, was one of the first people on the scene.
Speaking to the Echo, Sohail said: “We went to go have a look. We saw a guy with a helmet, then we saw the other guy had a knife.
"We were a bit like what the heck. The amount of blood he had on his knife we weren't going to risk that.”
