It comes after Southampton City Council granted planning permission for a major property development at the site on Queensway.
The pictures by Ken Harrison, taken on August 14, appear to show that all that's left to demolish is the main entrance.
Diggers and cranes can be seen operating at the location.
It has been closed to pedestrians since the Debenhams site at Queens Buildings became vacant in 2020.

The national retailer has ceased trading, with the last of the remaining Debenhams shops closing in 2021.
However, a new housing development, comprising three large blocks with an excess of 600 residential properties, will take its place.
It is understood that around 1,000 people will be housed across a 17-storey and two seven-storey blocks.
