A man has slammed a brazen thief for stealing a brand new motorbike from his driveway, branding the incident as "very strange".
Leon Burnet of St Denys was left shocked when camera footage showed two people walk onto his property in Adelaide Road and steal his motorbike in the early hours of the morning.
CCTV showed a masked man approach the bike between 4.30am and 5am on October 30.
Footage shows him first scanning the area as Leon believes he was looking for witnesses, before getting down on his knees and starting to cut off the chain that had locked up the vehicle.

The motorbike, a grey Lexmoto Diablo 50 EFI with blue highlights at the front, was then wheeled away once freed.

Leon, 22, said: “The thief took it right off the drive. I’ve only had it two months, it’s a brand new bike with a 75 plate.
“It’s quite a shock because nothing really gets stolen from St Denys. Someone coming to the address and taking it straight off [the driveway] is very weird and very strange.”
Leon reported the theft to the police, but he told the Echo that officers are struggling to find answers as the thief had his face covered during the incident.

He said: “The police said they couldn’t ID the suspect because he’s wearing a mask but there’s literally nothing they can do unless it hits an ANPR camera, which I don’t think is likely."
The St Denys resident did call on motorbike manufactures to add in more security features in future vehicles, arguing that with more deterrents, many thefts would potentially be prevented.

Leon said: “If the manufacturing companies put alarms in these bikes, like they do with cars, it would probably prevent theft a lot more.”
A spokesperson for Hampshire police confirmed that officers continue to investigate the theft of the motorbike, which has a registration ending “GUU”.
The spokesperson said: “No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 44250490908.”
The Lexmoto bike also had a learner plate attached at the time of the theft.
