Aer Lingus has announced a new transatlantic route connecting Southampton to the United States.
Launching on May 25, 2026, the service will operate from Dublin to Pittsburgh, providing connections through the Irish capital from 13 UK airports, including Southampton.
Travellers can also connect to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, Liverpool John Lennon, Isle of Man, Exeter, Cornwall Airport Newquay and London Heathrow.
UK travellers can take advantage of Dublin Airport’s US preclearance facility, allowing them to complete immigration and customs checks before departure.
Upon arrival in the United States, passengers are treated as domestic arrivals, streamlining the entry process.
The new route also strengthens Aer Lingus’ existing ties with Pittsburgh, where the airline is an Official Airline Partner to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Flights will operate on the Airbus A321neoLR, featuring 16 lie-flat business class seats and a choice of dual-class seating.
Passengers will enjoy complimentary meals, drinks and access to Aer Lingus’ inflight entertainment.
