Plans have been submitted to see six padel courts and a new padel centre built at Sholing Football Club in Bursledon.
The full planning application received on 27 January 2026, proposes the construction of six covered courts alongside a purpose-built centre including a studio, changing facilities and refreshments area.
Associated parking is also included within the scheme.
The application has been lodged by Sholing Football Club, based at the Mackoy Stadium on Portsmouth Road, Southampton.

Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and padel courts have been cropping up across the city in recent months.
The agent acting on behalf of Sholing Football Club is Radley House Partnership Limited of Winchester.
Eastleigh Borough Council will determine the application with a statutory decision due by 28 April 2026.
The public consultation period runs until 6 March 2026, during which residents and stakeholders can submit comments on the proposals.
