A Fareham theatre has been shortlisted for a regional business award.

Fareham Live has been named a finalist in the 'Visitor Attraction/Event of the Year' category at the 2026 Portsmouth Business Awards.

Connie Hockley, councillor responsible for leisure and community, said: "I am thrilled that Fareham Live has been announced as a finalist in this year’s Portsmouth Business Awards.

"With well over 200,000 tickets sold by the end of 2025, Fareham Live has already made a significant contribution to the local visitor economy and is becoming a real source of local pride.

"I cannot think of a more worthy winner, so I am keeping everything crossed."

Nominated by Fareham Borough Council, the theatre has been recognised for its role in the regeneration of Fareham town centre and its success as a venue for national touring shows, comedy, music and more.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Portsmouth Guildhall on February 27.
