More than 28,000 travellers are expected to pass through Southampton Airport during the Easter holidays.
Strong demand is forecast between March 30 and April 19, with passengers heading off for family visits, short breaks, and early-season sunshine destinations. Popular routes include the Channel Islands, Ireland, and mainland Europe.
Maurice Boyle, operations director at Southampton Airport, said: "We’re pleased to be welcoming more than 28,000 passengers over the Easter break as people take advantage of the school holidays and start their spring travel plans.

"With a combination of popular routes to the Channel Islands, Ireland, and mainland Europe, we’re looking forward to a lively and positive few weeks across the terminal.
"Our teams will be on hand throughout the period to support passengers and help ensure a smooth and enjoyable start to their journey."
Travellers are being reminded to prepare hand luggage in line with current UK security regulations, including keeping liquids under 100ml.
