A university charter promoting growth and opportunity is gaining fresh momentum.
The Solent Growth Partnership has become the latest organisation to sign Solent University's Civic Charter, which is intended to strengthen collaboration between education, business, and the wider community.
Jodi Fair, regional growth and partnerships manager for Solent Growth Partnership, signed the charter alongside Professor Andy Chan, associate pro vice-chancellor for research and knowledge exchange at Solent University.

Ms Fair said: "Solent Growth Partnership is proud to sign Solent University’s Civic Charter.
"It reflects our shared commitment to championing inclusive economic growth, strengthening collaboration across the region, and supporting the long-term prosperity of our communities."
Existing signatories include Southampton City Council and Saints.
The charter commits Solent University and its partners to creating new learning and development opportunities beyond traditional undergraduate courses, with an emphasis on practical experience and industry involvement.
It also encourages greater community use of university facilities and resources.
Professor Cathy Barnes, pro vice-chancellor for research and academic strategy planning at Solent University, said: "We're pleased to welcome Solent Growth Partnership as a signatory of our Civic Charter.
"The focus on collaboration and innovation supports our mission to widen opportunity, strengthen regional skills, and create real impact for our communities."

The Solent Growth Partnership brings together Isle of Wight, Portsmouth City, and Southampton City Councils to deliver coordinated business support and training services across the Solent region.
The charter pledges to ensure provision is practice-led, with industry voices embedded within Impact Boards spanning maritime, business and law, STEM, the creative industries, and health care and wellbeing.
It also commits partners to understanding learners’ individual needs and providing tailored support to help them succeed.
The Civic Charter commits Solent and its partners to developing new partnerships that broaden the university’s course portfolio, creating skills development opportunities beyond the traditional undergraduate market.
