One of the UK's biggest cruise ships is set to return to Southampton next week, marking the start of a busy summer cruise season.
Operated by MSC Cruises, MSC Virtuosa will begin sailing from the city again on April 20, with itineraries including short breaks, Northern Europe voyages and longer trips to destinations such as Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands.
The vessel is scheduled to depart on 28 cruises from Southampton from April onwards, offering trips ranging from two-night mini cruises to extended 12-night sailings.

Its return is expected to bring thousands of passengers into the city and city centre drivers may experience increased traffic while Virtuosa is in port.
Southampton remains one of the UK’s leading cruise ports, and the arrival of MSC Virtuosa is seen as a key part of a strong 2026 summer cruising season.
The port is set to get busier in the coming months as the summer commences.
