The home organised entertainment from Nathalie Gunn and a lunch to mark the occasion.
Staff at Snowdrop Place said it was an honour to share such an incredible milestone with Walt.
In tribute to one of his favourite pastimes, carer Jean prepared a birthday cake decorated with playing cards.
The celebration was described as a "truly special day" by care staff.
It also served as a reminder of the value of community and companionship in later life.
